Transforming.
A truly inspiring school transforms the lives of its students. It helps them to develop their full potential, academically, spiritually, and emotionally. It also prepares them to make a positive difference in the world.
Welcoming.
An inclusive school welcomes all students, regardless of their background, beliefs, or abilities. It creates a safe and supportive environment where everyone feels valued and respected.
Christlike.

Welcome to our school website. I hope you find the following pages informative and engaging.
St Joseph’s School is centrally located in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales. It is the parish school of the Cathedral Parish of St Michaels and is adjacent to the Catholic Schools Office, Wagga Wagga. As such, the school is a vital part of the Cathedral Parish.
As a single-stream school, we are able to provide a safe, supportive and happy environment for all children from Kindergarten to Year 6. The grounds and building facilities are contemporary first-class and provide a high quality learning environment for all our students. Likewise, the newly refurbished Cathedral offers a welcoming place for prayer, worship and school liturgies.
The school motto “All things for God” illuminates our prime work as a Catholic school. Teaching staff are committed to the Catholic Faith and the faith formation of each child through sacramental programs, quality Religious programs and regular participation in school liturgies. Students are provided with many opportunities such as feast days and liturgical celebrations to learn about our school and our catholic faith.
Our staff work collaboratively to provide a holistic education, one that develops your child spiritually, academically, socially, physically and emotionally, in a community that is underpinned by Gospel values. We actively seek the best pedagogical methods in delivering the curriculum to meet all students’ needs through quality professional learning that is aligned with our annual school improvement plan, with a focus on improving students’ Literacy and Numeracy skills. Our school classrooms are well-resourced with iPads, interactive televisions and Chromebooks to help deliver a comprehensive contemporary curriculum.
At St Joseph’s we follow a Positive Student Behaviour Approach which focuses on teaching students to assume responsibility for their own behaviour, therefore creating a cooperative learning environment. This philosophy helped develop our core aspirations of being Safe, Respectful, Responsible and Brave Learners. The values associated have been collaboratively developed by students and staff for all areas within the school environment. These aspirations are positively phrased, are taught explicitly in our classrooms and are promoted in all settings of our school, for all members of our school community.
At St Joseph’s we strive to build positive partnerships between the school, the parents and families, the Cathedral parish and the broader community of Wagga Wagga.
If you require any further information about our school please contact the school office.
